This series examines the work of the disciples in the early church. In the early chapters of Acts, there are two things happening in the life of Jesus’ disciples following the resurrection that help us gain an understanding of the work of the church: They are growing in their understanding of Jesus as Messiah and it was spreading throughout the community. Their growing understanding would become the foundation of the early church. The church was becoming known for its actions. It is those actions that we want to consider as we think about our own church and our role in the community.
