Try This On Senior Sunday
You are ready to go for Senior Sunday except for maybe a few details, some errands, and of course, the annoying last-minute text wondering if it is too late to turn in information.
So, I hesitate to be an interruption to your well-oiled machine, but I’ve been thinking about something that I wanted to bounce off of you.
As you make notes this year for future Senior Sundays, try printing a list of next year’s incoming students to your ministry. On Sunday, visualize those students across the front of your worship center and ask yourself, “What adjustments can I make in my Student Ministry to keep these students engaged until they are Seniors?"
I don’t mean to diminish the significance of Senior Sunday through this exercise, but instead, hope to add value for the future. It’s beginning with the end in mind.
Transitions are an important part of student ministry: junior high, high school, driver's licenses, getting jobs, etc. Take a minute and share with us what you are doing in your ministry to guide students through some of their transitions throughout their time in Student Ministry.
