Do you have students with leadership potential and you’re just not sure how to train them? Or maybe you have a student leadership team, and you’re looking to give a couple of kids an opportunity to take the next step in leadership? What if you could roll leadership development into your overall camp experience?
Enter Horizon Leadership Camp. HLC is a hybrid camp experience designed to equip, train, and strengthen your student leaders. We accomplish this by a combination of instruction, real-life leadership experience, and reinvesting in relationships.
At Horizon, we believe leadership education happens in a classroom and leadership development happens through experience. We aim to provide both.
HLC students at camp are part of their own small group where they will spend time learning leadership principles, listening to other adults share leadership insights, and then put those principles into practice by leading recreation for the entire camp.
Best of all, HLC students are still part of your group. They are challenged to find ways to invest in students in your group (with your guidance and direction). They participate with your group in church time activities, allowing you to walk with them on their leadership journey.
We off HLC at both weeks of camp (June 16-20 and July 19-23). It is open for students who have completed 9th-12th grades. If you’re interested in finding out more or discovering the application process, email us or check out our online application for your students.
